About WAY

What we do

WAY provides safe environments with opportunities to learn and grow for youth aged 9-17 by:

  • Offering creative and innovative programming that will attract our target group
  • Providing age-appropriate leadership opportunities
  • Building relationships with other organizations and individuals that share our values, offering opportunities to participate and work together
  • Encouraging dialogue and interactions with all age groups
  • Working as a team to create a healthy community

What We Value

Youth Leadership

We believe youth should be given opportunities to develop leadership capacity.

Equal Opportunity

We will be inclusive, non-judgmental, and give all of our youth a safe, welcoming environment and a role in decision-making. Everyone has a voice in the WAY.

We will provide youth with the opportunity to try, fail, succeed, learn and grow by providing unfailing encouragement, guidance, mentoring and support. If you believe, you can achieve.

We will stay current, interesting, engaging, challenging, and cutting edge in our programs and activities by saying yes to ideas and dreams, and working hard to make them work.

We will work in partnership and collaboration with our community, other local organizations, sponsors, and individuals to help build a healthy community. Through that engagement, our participants will learn the value of giving back to their community.
